Registry: Assign images with application
How do you show an application in the menu to images in the file explorer?
Task: I want a .jpg file in Windows Explorer
Key under Windows 10 (Windows Vista, 7, 8, and 10):
SystemFileAssociation -> image
A new command to open images with an application can be found by entering \ ProgramText with the subkey \ command under \ shell.
Within the command key, enter the path
Registry Editor: regedit.exe in Windows Enter Cortana.
In the Registry Editor you have to look for the path HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT \ SystemFileAssociations
And then enter a new program as the key and append the command.
This will now display an additional menu item, which allows you to open the image or folder, or move the file as a file, for example, to move, copy, or transfer files when you click an image with the right mouse button
