Error message when uploading files to an IIS server

IIS 10.0 Detailed Error – 404.13 – Not Found

Reason:

The upload file size is exceeded. The IIS Internet Information Server is by default severely limited for upload files.

You have to change the allowed file size in the web.config.

Error message when uploading 3 files with 10 MB

Troubleshooting:

Asp.Net Core Upload File resize

Add a Web.Config file to the Asp.Net Core MVC application and add the following text block to it:

<requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength="737280000" />

The file size is entered in bytes. 1,000,000,000 of the upload size equals 1,000 MB = 1GB

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>

<configuration>

  <system.webServer>

    <security>

      <requestFiltering>

        <!-- Limit Upload to 700MB  -->

        <requestLimits maxAllowedContentLength="737280000" />

      </requestFiltering>

    </security>

  </system.webServer>

</configuration>

To add the file to Asp.Net Core 2 MVC, go to the project

And in the context under Add-> New Item ..

If you find the Web.Configuration File below

Add New Item-> Installed-> ASP.NET CORE-> Web-> Asp.NET
